Shih Tzu

The Shih Tzu is an ancient breed, which developed over centuries to be the perfect canine companion and lap dog. The Shih Tzu were brought to America soon after World War ll. It is also said that the breed originated in China, hence the name "Lion Dog", in 800 B.C. The breed Shih Tzu was almost extinct in the year 1908 in China when the breed had became extinct in China.

Luckily for the Shih Tzu, they were saved when explores brought only 13 of the dogs to England, where the dogs were bred. Soon after World War ll, the Shih Tzu’s were brought to America were they became known as a common lap dog and won the hearts and love of thousands of people around the world.
