French Bulldog
The French Bulldog, also known as the Frenchie, is a small breed of dog. Frenchies were the result in the 1800s of a cross between Bulldog ancestors imported from England and local ratters in Paris, France. Later, to reduce their size, some Bulldogs were crossed with terriers, while others were crossed with pugs.
French Bulldogs don’t have tails (or much of a tail, anyway). While many dog breeds have traditionally had their tails docked, the Frenchies do not have one from birth.
