The Titan Atlas was a Titan who was sentenced by Zeus
to hold up the sky forever without relief.
In the legends, Heracles let Atlas have some relief
in exchange for the apples of Hesperides.
Atlas was a son of Gaea and Ouranos, and brother of Kronos,
Oceanus, Hyperion, Iapetus, Koios, and others.
His daughters were the Hyades and Hesperides.
He was also on good terms with Ladon the dragon.
