The Boxer is a medium-sized, short-haired breed of dog, developed in Germany. The Boxer was bred from the Old English Bulldog and the now extinct Bullenbeisser which became extinct by crossbreeding rather than by a decadence of the breed. The Boxer is in 8th place for popularity in America. Boxer dogs are known for being a family pet, good with kids but not good with strangers, which makes the Boxer a good guard dog. Boxers are also known for their ability to understand the world around them better than most dogs. They are known for being smart and for the definition as their name, their famous boxing traits.

The BoxerDogs unfortunately have many common health issues among their kind, some of the following health issues are as followed. Boxers are most known for having heart diseases, Hip Dysplasia, Hypothyroidism, Cancer, and Eye disease.
